Advisement
Advisement
The Biomedical Engineering Department has several student advisors who can help you plan your schedule. Below we introduce our advisors and what areas their student advising responsibilities fall. You can make an appointment with your advisor at any time using the links below.
For the registration advising period, you must first prepare for an advising meeting. All students are required to review their curricular and course registration plans with their Advisor to have their registration hold removed. Advising periods begin about March 1 for the Fall semester and about October 1st for the Spring semester. Please go to the Registration Instructions page for more information.

Special Permits for Registration
You may need a permit for registration errors due to missing prerequisites, field of study errors, honors cohort errors, year errors, or bridge permits. For closed course permits, you must be on the waitlist for the course. Closed course permits will be evaluated prior to the start of the semester after the waitlist notifications have been completed.
For special course permits, please fill-up the permit form. Your permit request will be evaluated by the Advisor and granted if appropriate. All permit approvals will be based on seniority. Please do not email your advisor about permits. The front desk will email you back once your permit is approved. Permit requests for courses outside the BME department cannot be approved by BME advisors.
If you need to take MECH 236 fill up this form for a permit. If you take MECH 236, and you are not in Biomechanics concentration, you need to take another 1 credit course, this can be BME 601 Seminar
