The Biomedical Engineering Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is seeking applications for an Associate Chair to help lead the academic mission and goals of the department. This position will assist the department chair with the growth and diversity of our undergraduate and graduate programs as well as accreditation. We are seeking individuals with a strong interest and experience in the development of a research training and mentorship program for students. The position will be commensurate with the candidates' experience and qualifications at the rank of Associate/Full Professor beginning the 23-24 academic year.
The Biomedical Engineering Department (BME) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor beginning the 23-24 academic year.
Applications are encouraged from candidates whose background and experience fit and can benefit from research synergies within the department. Research specialties of interest include neuro-rehabilitation engineering (including biorobotic design and fabrication, and neural engineering) and injury biomechanics (including nervous system injury, computational and experimental biomechanics, biomaterials and tissue engineering).
