Registration begins on November 6th
Advising will start on October 11th
Please act early. To accommodate all students, we need to use the entire advising period.
Please follow these steps to prepare for advising:
Attend the general information sessions.
Update your 4-year curriculum plan with courses you have taken and plan to take. If you need assistance with the preparation, peer mentors will be available to meet with you. (Schedule below)
For your advisor to review your plan, you are REQUIRED to fill out a Registration FORM. Peer mentors can help if you have questions during the general information sessions.
You will get a confirmation email that you completed the form (if you did not get a confirmation, submit the form again). You can update your response with the emailed link if necessary.
If your plan is satisfactory, we will remove your hold upon review of your registration form. Otherwise, we will request that you make an appointment.
Sophomores can schedule an appointment with Dr. MontJohnson using this link if they need further assistance with their curriculum plan
Juniors and BS/MS can schedule an appointment with Dr. Roman using this link if they need further assistance with their curriculum plan.
Seniors can schedule an appointment with Dr.Erdi using this link if they need further assistance with their curriculum plan.
Choosing electives is the biggest concern for Juniors and Seniors. Keep the following in mind:
Take other BME track classes as electives. You can easily combine two concentration classes with your electives. This will make you more marketable in the industry.
We created a shortlist of suggested electives for you. Please visit our advising website for this information.
For this coming academic year, we increased the number of BME sections offered and hope you will take advantage of this when selecting electives.
If you have questions about specific courses that cannot be answered by your peer mentor, you can email track chairs:
Other Information:
If you need to take MECH 236 fill up this form. If you take MECH 236, and you are not in Biomechanics concentration, you need to take another 1 credit course, this can be BME 601 Seminar.
For BME permits, please fill up the permit form. The BME Front desk will email you back once your permit is approved. All permit approvals will be based on seniority. Please do not email Dr. MontJohnson, Dr. Roman or Dr. Erdi about permits..
