Student Ambassadors
Undergraduate representatives promoting NJIT’s biomedical engineering program.
The biomedical engineering student ambassadors are a team of undergraduate students selected to represent the department and NJIT. They are a valuable resource for prospective students and parents who have questions about academics, campus life, or the community because they are experiencing it first-hand. Student ambassadors volunteer to help others get to know NJIT. The team members are of diverse backgrounds, and have diverse interests and goals. Below please find our ambassadors. To learn more about an ambassador please click on the student's name.

Nada AliSenior, Biomaterials Nada lives right around Newark in Elizabeth, NJ. She is a senior majoring in biomedical engineering with a concentration in biomaterials. One thing she has learned during her college experience is that things don’t always go as planned, and that’s something she has learned to accept. What matters most to her is doing what she can with what she has and continuing to move forward. Whether it’s in research, classes, or just figuring things out, she has found that being consistent and open to learning matters more than having everything go perfectly. That mindset has helped her keep growing without being afraid to mess up along the way. |

Annie ThomasJunior, Biomechanics Annie Thomas is a rising junior on the Biomechanics track. She was interested in biomedical engineering because she was interested in integrating her passion for engineering and science to help develop medical devices that can help improve people's quality of life. This summer, she is interning at a medical device company that produces therapeutic exergames to help kids with cerebral palsy and adults with stroke to improve their range of motion in their upper extremity. This experience has deepened her interest in rehabilitation technologies and strengthened her commitment to pursuing impactful work in the medical device field. |
