About me: I currently work as a research associate in a physics lab, developing medical devices. I am minoring in philosophy and specialize in bioethics, particularly relating to women and racial minorities. On my spare time, I play music (guitar and harp), study socioeconomic politics, and write.
Why I chose to attend NJIT: It was a good value compared to the engineering schools in the area.
What I like best about NJIT: I like its location. Newark is a very diverse and engaging city, a younger sister to the nearby NYC.
My goals for after I graduate: I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in hopes to move forward to a tenure track position as professor.
My advice to prospective students interested in Biomedical Engineering at NJIT: Take the initiative to engage in engineering outside of the classroom. It benefits your learning experience and prepares you for the real world.
