Class Standing:

About Me:
I am a biomedical engineering major as a member of the Albert Dorman Honors College. I am involved in the Biomedical Engineering Society and ambassador program. I have been playing the piano ever since I was young, and I am involved with the Schola Cantorum. I have observed at Clara Mass Hospital and Prince Hamzah Hospital in Jordan, and continue to participate in various medical opportunities, clinical research, and observership opportunities.

Why I chose to attend NJIT:
The allure of the honors college, the generous scholarships, and the small campus were my main reasons for choosing NJIT. However, I was also impressed by the support and foundation set by the BME department that allows us to pursue our interests in the field.

What I like best about NJIT:
Honestly, the people you come to know and grow with is the best part of NJIT. I’ve met so many people that I’ve grown close to quickly within my first year. NJIT provides a unique environment that truly allows friendships to form and evolve. These connections are what allows us to branch out to different opportunities that will provide benefits for our goals.

My goals after I graduate:
My goals after I graduate is to get accepted into a M.D. or D.O. school in the United States and pursue a career in medicine.

My advice to prospective students interested in Biomedical Engineering at NJIT:
If you love this field and truly want to be a part of the innovations happening in biomedical engineering, then I know that you will work hard. This field has its challenges, but you could surpass them. My advice is to learn about other people and branch out. This is the hidden challenge in our field. We need strong connections and knowledge in order to reach the career we desire. So continue to learn and always continue to meet new people.  This will develop your confidence, and never allow you to doubt yourself.
