I am a 4th year undergraduate student and part of the Bachelors/Masters Program; I play volleyball for NJIT, am a member of the Albert Dorman Honors college, and the NJIT chapter president of Tau Beta Pi.
Why I chose to attend NJIT:
NJIT has a great undergraduate biomedical engineering programs and gave me the opportunity to jump right in to learning the BME material. NJIT also offered me the ability to play NCAA division 1 volleyball.
What I like best about NJIT:
I really enjoy the small campus atmosphere that allows you to really get to know the people you attend school with.
My goals for after I graduate:
I intend to work in rehabilitation and physical therapy in designing rehabilitative equipment and programs for people who have lost limb function due to stroke or accident,
My advice to prospective students interested in Biomedical Engineering at NJIT:
BME is such a diverse field with so many applications that it really combines the traditional engineering disciplines with human application. I would tell them to definitely pursue it, but to make sure they have a solid understanding of the math and science requirements as to not get overwhelmed.
