Ph.D. candidate Ammar Abdo receives NSF award
The IEEE EMBS Neural Engineering Award Committee has selected Ph.D. student Ammar Abdo to receive the NSF Neural Engineering Travel Award. The award recognizes excellence in the field of Neural Engineering and is open to graduate students, research associates, and assistant professors from US institutions. Mr. Abdo will be presenting a paper, co-authored with Dr. Mesut Sahin, entitled, "Intraspinal microstimulation with light activated micro-stimulators" at the 5th International IEEE EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering.
