MAJOR: Biomedical Engineering; accelerated BS/MD program.

AFFILIATIONS: Albert Dorman Honors College, Educational Opportunity Program

SPECIAL STUDY: Students for Medicine and Dentistry, a summer enrichment program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for students planning to enter the health professions.

ACTIVITIES:
Tutor for EOP freshmen; secretary of the Society of Women Engineers; Dance co-chair for the African Students Association.

HONORS: Theta Sigma Sorority Scholarhip, Edward Bloustein Distinguished Scholar; National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) scholar.

PLANS: A semester of research before entering medical school.

WHAT SHE SAYS ABOUT BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING AT NJIT: “The studio classes in biomedical engineering teach us how to work successfully in teams. This is an important skill, because in real life, no matter what job a person does, one must learn to work cohesively with others in order to succeed.”
