Meet Our Students: Cynthia Camacho

MAJOR: Biomedical Engineering

RESEARCH:. Research into the use of text-summarizing software to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities; a team project to design a collagen hydrogel used to stimulate an environment that cells are exposed to in the human body.


ACTIVITIES: President, Hispanic Organization of Students in Technology/Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers; Co-Chair of the Region IV Student Leadership Conference hosted by NJIT in March 2005.

HONORS: Pedro Ortiz Student Leadership award presented by SHPE; Newark College of Engineering Outstanding Senior Award
